Overgrown Lots
From The Board of Directors
We’ve had good rain for the grass this spring, but many of our lots are now overgrown and need mowing. The Association pays for mowing of the Common Areas, under the power lines, around the retention ponds, and from roadsides up to the wooden lot poles on undeveloped lots.
Lot mowing is the responsibility of all owners: undeveloped lots, lots undergoing construction, and developed lots. Some of you have contracts with Zac’s Lawn Care ([email protected], 804-240-4429). Zac will be mowing your lots this coming week. Others have different arrangements.
All overgrown lots must be mowed. If they are not mowed lot owners will be liable for billing under Article 8.13 of the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions:
8.13. Whenever the grass on a Lot or adjoining shoreland exceeds six (6) inches in height, the Association shall have the option to proceed without notice to cut and/or rake and/or bag the grass and to bill the Lot owner for the expense thereof. A bill for such lawn maintenance shall be due and payable upon receipt, and such bill shall constitute a lawful assessment against the applicable Lot and shall be enforceable as such.
